Today was probably the least productive day of the 3 weeks, reasons being
1) We were (maybe) forced to go to NTU to check out their goodies
2) I was sick
Very very sick. I ran into the toilet at least twenty times in the first two hours of being in school.
I was bestowed with a new power, dripping mucus. Thus, Snot girl Was Born! Using my ultra super powers, I have dedicated my live to running down to the toilets and using all the toilet paper!
Bad jokes aside, I ended up not doing anything since my head just hurts and I keep dripping mucus everywhere....
By the time, we had to go to NTU , the mucus clouds cleared up...not really...well, it got better. As for NTU, it was pretty interesting.Watching Rizal perform on motion capture was worth the waste of time (that could be spent on doing work) He's great at it. The student works were amazing as expected, however, I would never consider going to a university. Four years... of more studying for a job that probably doesn't exist since I'm chronically bad at art, no way! Once I graduate, that's it, I'm off to work, be it a cashier or an office lackey or (highly unlikely) concept artist, I'll be happy just working. I had my fun chasing an impossible dream(for me). I never was cut up for school and animation anyways.
Either way, at least I did some storyboards last night, so yeah there's that. I just keep banging out these storyboards, it's not so much a trouble as it was last time, since I was getting good practice with all the new feedback. Though with the continuous changes, our delay in beginning our production phase is starting to worry me. However, it is true, with good pre production work, it means that we are one step closer to having a solid animation as our end result.

I watched a variety of westerns to get the right tone in the front which includes the classic western stare down scenes. Watching these westerns, really got me thinking about how much the films have changed over the years.
1) The pacing was slowww (compared to fast paced action packed movies these days)
2) The camera placements were clear cut, in the sense that I am very aware of the changing of angles. Nowadays, camera placements/angles capture the scenes so fluidly I am not aware of the cameras at all.
3) Zoom ins. It's tacky to see zoom ins in modern movie/films, but being a relative new thing in the past, this was overtly used
Anyways, feedback that I got:

What does that all mean? Time for a new storyboard, folks, more changes, onward the train of change.
Oh and cow boy Auton is decided, at least until further changes, and the great fly debate continues on.
Seriously guys, it's just a fly. A fly...why am I spending so much time on flies. I'm beginning to be scared to post stuff up on our fb group since I'm clearly spamming stuff, with all the different storyboards and changes. I wish I could just say "Hello guys, new storyboards on my blog, check it, comment on it" But nahs too much work for the others. task list: 1) New stb with client's feedback 2) the fly... 3) Sorta model sheet for the dust mob |
The above were the other rejected outfits I had not uploaded before.
