The full storyboard I did, with full fight scene. I'm actually really bad with action scenes, as I don't usually draw action. So, I referenced a horror anime, a few action packed comics to come up with the fight scene, which I hope that 'moves' seamlessly. In addition, I'm not even sure if it's a bit too 'scary'? with the eating bug scene even though the bug was spat out, alive and happy. And the too-convenient thing of suddenly having a sword right in front of the main character.
I cleaned up the sketches I had with the dust mob, and redrew them in a more Danny Phantom feel. Of course, that lost quite a bit of the visual of it being 'dusty' but it is now more graphic and clean. It was requested by the rest of the team to make it look like that ^ as it would be easier to animate but the client seems to want it more like the sketch, and said it would be okay animating it as the lines and volumes are not precise. So now, I'm kinda on the fence about the look of the dust mob. I equally agree with both opinions. Either way I just wanted to colour it because I miss colouring...sketching is fun and all but colour just makes things stand out more. I did it in two different methods.
The feedback I got for my bugs is well.....
Which leads to another discussion of the possible change of including a fly or not a fly....After quite a bit of discussion with the team, we decided forget it let's just continue, it's a fly, not a freaking dinosaur it's not like he's that important...so yeah. Either way since there was a need for a simplified design, Gek Luan suggested I could start with silhouette so that's what the above if. I guess it's better because now I won't focus on the details (which I tend to do) and more on the shape.
